Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu hailed the Union Budget for 2018-19, presented by the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley, in Parliament today saying that the Budget is pro farmers, poor and labourers and would prove to be a milestone in further strengthening the agriculture economy.
While reacting to the Union Budget, Capt. Abhimanyu said that this is the result of the hard work put in by Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley during the last three years and this Budget would pave way for making India as a strong economic power in the world.
The Finance Minister said that India is primarily an agrarian country and it would not be wrong if we described the Budget as agriculture based Budget. He said that it has been principally assured in the Budget to give Minimum Support Price (MSP) of crops with 50 per cent profit over and above the cost of production. Apart from this, the Budget has come up with the promise of making provision of Rs 11 lakh crore for agriculture loan, encouraging the agriculture producer organizations and extending the scope of kisan credit card to the landless farmers associated with the animal husbandry business. The Budget has also given mention to give benefit of medical insurance scheme of upto Rs five lakh to 50 crore people. The scheme would be a unique scheme of its kind in the world, he added.
Capt. Abhimanyu said that by presenting Railway and General Budget 2018-19, the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley has laid a strong foundation for realizing the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of building a new nation by the year 2022.
