Adelegation from Curtin Business School (CBS), Curtin University, Perth, Australia visited the Panjab University, and met the PU Vice Chancellor Professor Raj Kumar to explore the possibilities of student exchange, faculty exchange, joint research projects, joint research centres, and Joint MBA program (with one year at University Business School, Panjab University & second year at Curtin Business School, Curtin University, Perth, Australia).
PU VC during his interaction informed that PU has its own legacy and rich cultural heritage. Any collaboration has to keep the holistic approach as the entire scenario is competitive. He urged the need for a road map for exploring emerging areas specifically in research and innovation.
Different possibilities of partnership and collaboration in research and teaching were discussed. Some of the possible areas identified for further collaboration include a Joint Research Centre for Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Joint Centre for Agribusiness; Two Year joint Global MBA program etc.
The Australian delegation comprising of Professor Steve Mckenna, Director-MBA programs; Ms Michelle Sim, International Partnership Consultant & Ms Ujala Chadha from Curtin University made a presentation to the PU officials led by Professor Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor; Professor Ramanjit Kaur Johal, Director-Research Promotion Cell; Professor Deepak Kapur, Chairperson-University Business School; Ms Renuka Salwan, Director Public Relations.
