Children workshop concludes with energetic evening of drama and dance

The production oriented one month “ Summer drama & folk dance workshop organized by Pracheen Kala Kendra concluded this evening with a colorful cultural extravaganza at Koser’s Indoor auditorium in Mohali Pracheen Kala Kendra complex, sector-71, Mohali at. The month long workshop was conducted by Ranjana Singh and Jagjit Singh with the aim to develop children’s personality through theatrical methods while Young and talented Jatinder Singh impart basic training about Punjabi folk dances. About 35 students took part in workshop this year and were trained in drama , Improvisation, body movement, Story Telling, Dialogue delivery and folk dances etc.
The workshop was concluded fabulously with presentations of Dance, Music and Hindi play. The programme got off to majestic start with a energetic song “bam bam bole ” by lil champs followed by Hindi play “Aandheri nagri chaupat Raja” by participants.
Participants of age group 6-15 years performed on Punjabi folk dances. One of the most fabulous dance of Punjab “Bhangra” presented with Punjabi Tadka and full fun. It is followed by another folk dance of Punjabi folk dance Sammi by big group of children leaves the audience spell bound.
The programme was concluded with thrilling Punjabi Folk “Jhumar” amid thunderous applause.
Dr. Shobha Koser, Registrar of the Kendra honored the children with certificates and congratulate both teachers and children with words of appreciation.
