Congress puts Mohali on development fast-track; Balbir Sidhu

Sidhu meet town’s prominent industrialists, seeks support in Mohali civic poll

Mohali, February 9: “Today, Mohali is growing faster than Chandigarh. Constant IT companies are coming to Mohali. Many business establishments, shopping malls, international schools and international universities have come to Mohali and many are coming. It is clear from this that Mohali is today the fastest growing city in North India.”

Punjab Health Minister and Congress sitting local MLA from Mohali, Balbir Singh Sidhu stated this during a meeting with prominent industrialists of Mohali on Tuesday during party campaign for Mohali MC poll.  

“With the support of all of you, I have become MLA from Mohali for the third consecutive time. This also shows your confidence in me. I have always worked for the development of Mohali and Chief Minister, Captain Amarinder Singh also never let the lack of funds coming in the way of all-around development of Mohali.”

He said, companies are coming to Mohali from all over India and abroad and this will make Mohali continuously move forward. Flights from Mohali are available for commuting from Delhi and to every part of India.

At the time of Covid, many people came to Mohali and bought flats etc. here because of the best medical care available here. In the coming times also, Mohali will continue to progress at the  similar pace, he maintained.

Referring to the efforts of the Congress government at the time of Covid, he said that we took every measure to provide ration etc. to the people and providing timely treatment to everyone. We also provided medical care to patients from other states . Even Government of India appreciated Punjab Government’s measures to deal with Covid, he said.

Sidhu further said that Congress candidates are leading in all the 50 wards of Mohali at this time. This time the Congress is going to take full control in the municipal corporation and the opponents would fight hard to save their security deposits.

Among others, Yogesh Sagar, president of Mohali Industries Association, Rupinder Singh Sachdeva, ex-president, Anurag Aggarwal, ex-president, Harinder Pal Billa, Sanjeev Garg, Ramesh Chawla, Manpreet Singh, IS Chabbra, Gagan Chabbra and Iqbal Singh were also present during the occasion.
