2nd Edition of Innovative Farmers’ Meet 2019 is being organized by Confederation of Indian Industry in association with Mehram Publication from 28th May to 28th June 2019 at various locations in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Chandigarh. The fifth meet of this series was successfully organized at Silver Tree, Rohtak Haryana. Dr Arvind Kumar Sharma, Member of Parliament, Rohtak, was the Chief Guest. He felicitated the progressive farmers of Rohtak district and also motivated the farmers to take advantage of various government schemes. He urged for crop rotation and diversification to maintain the water table.
The meet was addressed by many renowned speakers from Government, Haryana Horticulture Department & Industry along with prominent award winning farmers.
Mr Amit Joshi, Senior Manager, PI industries shared that to address the problem of water scarcity, DSR is a good initiative. He also shared about his company products which are contributing to sustainable agriculture.
Mr Sanjay Kumar, District Development Manager, NABARD, Panipat focussed on the importance of finance in agriculture. He also shared the various schemes under which the farmers can get loans/ assistance from NABARD. Mr Praveen Dalal ,Deputy Manager, SBI also shared the various finance and loaning schemes of State Bank of India.
