Daler Mehndi sent to 2 years Jail for Human Trafficking

Court in Patiala in Punjab on Friday convicted Punjabi pop singer. Daler Mehndi in a 15-year-old human trafficking case.
He was sent to two years of jail.
The police had registered a case against Daler Mehndi and others after complainants alleged that the accused had taken money from them to the tune of Rs 1 crore on the pretext of taking them abroad.
The complainants, however, alleged that the deal never matured and the accused even failed to return the money.
Bakhshish Singh was the complainant in the case registered in 2003 in Patiala.
Daler was subsequently arrested and released on bail after a few days.
