DGP appreciated PS-Maloya Staff

Director General of Police, UT, Chandigarh, Sanjay Baniwal, IPS, appreciated the staff of Police Station Maloya for their devotion to duty for maintaining law and order as well as ensuring adequate arrangements of temporary shelters, provision of food etc for the poor, migrant’s laborers and needy people at Shelter Home, Maloya, Chandigarh. The poor people / migrants are taking place in some parts of the country so as to reach their home towns, Chandigarh Police is extending full cooperation to them and shifting them to Shelter Home, Maloya, Chandigarh to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

On night intervening 21/22.04.2020, at about 2:00 AM, ASI Janak Raj 2686/CP, Const. Deepak 1935 and C. Ritu Kumar 1939/CP were deployed on Naka at Mohali Barrier. They stopped 3 persons(migrants) namely Badkhu Ram, Onkar Nath Yadav and Maya Ram were coming from Baddi and wanted to go to their native state through Chandigarh. Upon asking, they stated that they didn’t eat food from the last 2 days. So, all the above 3 migrants were taken to Shelter Home, EWS Colony, Village-Maloya by the above police officials. The provision of food and adequate arrangements of temporary shelters were made at Shelter Home, Maloya, Chandigarh.

DSP Palak Goyal, (currently working as SHO in training module) and above staff ASI Janak Raj 2686/CP, Const. Deepak 1935 and C. Ritu Kumar 1939/CP were given appreciation letters (1st Class Commendation Certificate) by worthy DGP, Chandigarh at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh. Nilambari Jagadale, IPS, SSP, Chandigarh, Vineet Kumar, IPS, SP/City and Neha Yadav, ASP/South were also present on this occasion.
