Enterprising Travel Agents Association-ETAA announces its new North India Chapter team

Enterprising Travel Agent’s Association, (ETAA), recently announced its new team for North India Chapter. ETAA is a professional association representing the RETAIL tour operator/travel industry in India. It is the largest association of Non-IATA travel agents in the country and probably worldwide.
Sangeeta Manocha – Chairperson – ETAA North India & Director- National Board
Started her career in 2001, with Taj Hotels as a Corporate Sales executive, later joined a b2b company who were the IATA and were into ticketing. Sangeeta started a new platform for Mice and Corporate events and in 2011 she started her own venture, Prime Connections, excelling in corporate events, MICE and wedding events. My tagline “ You Dream we Deliver “ always given a confidence in our clients to believe in our commitments. In 2017, Prime Connections spread its wings and opened up an office in Pitakotte, Sri Lanka as Prime Nawamini.
Association with ETAA: Sangeeta has been associated with Enterprising Travel Agents Association since 2013 and became a Joint Secretary, later in 2016, she got promoted to the General Secretary and finally in 2018, The Chairperson and the Head of the North India Chapter.
Vision for ETAA: ETAA has been an excellent platform for the Non-IATA agents for connecting with the DMCs, Tourism bodies, Hotels, Airlines and other travel service providers. Sangeeta has always been actively adding members to ETAA. Being the Chairperson, she chose a dynamic team to get ETAA to a greater height. With the introduction of two honorary posts of Events and Alliances, ETAA North India will have more knowledge sessions, more educational programmes and familiarisation tours to not only in India, but also to Foreign Destinations, which will definitely benefit our members to sell the products to their clients.
ETAA North India will also be focussing on increasing its membership base in Tier 2 & 3 Cities and to cater to these members, we have planned a series of events and knowledge sessions our members.
Naveen Manchanda – General Secretary
Naveen Manchanda has been in the travel trade for 25 years. He speaks 8 languages including French, German and Italian. Naveen started his career as a freelance tour manager in 1994 catering to the inbound and outbound tourists when finally in 2004 he came up with the idea of having his own company – Tour Passion with the main focus on handling inbound and outbound tourism.
Naveen is also publishing a book very soon about his experiences and to educate the Indian travellers to serve as the ambassadors of India while travelling abroad.
Vision for ETAA: As a General Secretary, he will be working hand in hand with the chairperson to get more members on board.
He also has a vision “To connect the world to ETAA” and bring various nationalities together on the same platform.
Kanwarjit Singh Sawhney – Treasurer
Kanwarjit lovingly known in the industry as “Bobby” is a stalwart in the travel fraternity. Being born in a family of tour operators, Sawhney joined Bakshi Transport Service, previously known as Khalsa Transport Company(Established in1959), in 1982.
The company has been awarded various accolades including the National Tourism Award Special Scroll of Honour by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in 2010.
Apart from the transport services, they also cater to clients for inbound, outbound, MICE, weddings, events and specialized services.
Manuj Rajput – Joint Secretary
Manuj is a second generation travel agent with a zeal to discover the new destinations and venture out to the territories unknown.
Manuj joined his father with his venture, Promark Travel Services in 2005, which was primarily for corporate ticketing and later evolved into a tour company.
Apart from being in the trade, Manuj is also a keen photographer and a musician as well.
He has been associated with ETAA since 2012.
Vision for ETAA: Being a Joint Secretary, Manuj will be assisting the Secretary and the Chair Person in the ventures of ETAA. He has also planned out various educational tours to the lesser explored destinations to promote tourism and help the members generate more business. He is also working towards making ETAA a consortium for contracting better rates with hotels, DMCs and consolidators so that every member agent has the same rate to compete in the market.
Saurabh Tuteja – Joint Secretary
With a motto of “Passion for Life. Jiyo Zindagi” Saurabh takes on every single day as it comes.
Saurabh started off early with his venture, Ujjwal Creations when he was still in school with creative merchandise and POP material. He expanded his wings into the events and became an end-to-end service provider for corporate clientele. A passionate photographer, traveller and loves to write, has just started the curation of a collectable coffee table book about the virgin destinations of the world. He has been organizing various experiential tours in association with reputed mentors/experts in the respective fields. Also, successfully executing prestigious MICE Projects and Destination weddings across the globe.
Vision for ETAA: To create a platform for the members to learn about the developments in the industry and empower themselves.
Arush Mittal – Head – Alliances
Arush Mittal is serving the industry since 1998, with his company, Blue Skies Travels and Tours, which has been in business for more than three decades. Their core business comprises of Corporates, HNIs and Groups.
Vision for ETAA: To get the maximum number of tourism bodies, airlines and hotels associated with ETAA, that the members could benefit from the various sessions
Gaurav Arora – Head – Events
Gaurav started his career in 1999 with leaders like SITA travel which later merged with SOTC Trade Fair Division in 2001 and a Swiss-based company KOUNI bought SITA and SOTC.
After having 18 years’experience with industry giants, started his own venture Travways Tours in April 2007
Vision for ETAA: “FUTURE is unpredictable but with strong approach and dedication, will try to cruise along with ETAA to a great level of success especially for the northern region.”
