A spectacular inauguration with rituals of the first International Edwin in Bali left the dignitaries, august audience and all the stakeholders completely mesmerized. As many as 151 Participants from India attended the first International Edwin in Bali. The others who were present were from the tour & travel industry from Indonesia, exhibitors besides important persons from the different spheres of life.

It was a benign beginning indeed when traditional dances were performed followed by the lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.

IMG_5662During the inaugural address the Guest of Honour IGN. Rai Suryawijaya, Chairman Badung Tourism Promotion Board Indonesia said that Bali is an enchanting place with a unique blend of traditional culture, wonderful scenery and friendly people. I am sure that during your stay you shall not only enjoy Sun Set but also have a glimpse of the essence of Balinese culture to life.

Sunil Babu, Consulate General of India-Bali shared that over the last three years the number of tourists from India has increased tremendously. Bali is a family destination and an interesting place for honeymooners as well. He further highlighted that now the Indian tourists coming to Bali has made Indonesia proud by occupying the third position after Australia which is at number two position as of now.

There is need to guide the tourists properly by the tour & travel trade industry for better safety and having a pleasant stay in Bali.

IMG_5679Putu Winastra, S.Sos owner De Klumpu Bali invited the industry people to visit beautiful Bali, its vibrant culture and enjoy the wonderful scenery of the area. He said that do tell your friends to visit Bali which is not only the Island of Gods but also Island of love.

He categorically stated that it is purely an educational programme and I hope the members will adhere to the schedule chalked out earlier. TVC Editor in Chief Sanjay Pahwa interacted with Consul General R.O. Sunil Babu, Consulate General of India Bali and shared his views on how to strengthen the ties between India and Indonesia for promoting tourism in both the countries.

The B2B sessions were quite interesting which lasted for 8 minutes with the ringing of Musical Dong Bell.
