Haryana Government has implemented a new scheme namely “Sawarnjyanti Khand Uthan Yojna” for the development of intensive backward blocks in the State. Initially, 20 such blocks would be developed in the first phase of the scheme. This was disclosed by Chief Minister, Manohar Lal while addressing a press conference on the occasion of successful completion of 1000 days of the present State Government.
He said that these blocks included Loharu, Behal, Siwani and Kairu in district Bhiwani, Badhra in district Charkhi Dadri, Guhla in district Kaithal, Nuh, Punhana, Taoru, Nagina and Ferozepur Zhirka in district Nuh, Hathin in district Palwal, Morni, Pinjore, Rairpur Rani and Barwala in district Panchkula, Rewari and Bawal in district Rewari and Sadaura and Chhachhrauli in district Yamunanagar. He said that provision of separate budget has been made under the scheme for this purpose.
