Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister Anil Vij launches website: ulbharyana.gov.in of the department and mobile app ‘Swachh Haryana’

Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Anil Vij launched website: ulbharyana.gov.in of the department and mobile app ‘Swachh Haryana’. While the app will enable people to get information related to cleanliness, the website will help them getting information about any Municipal Corporation, Council and Committee in the State.
Mr. Vij said that ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ is being celebrated from October 2 to 17, 2020 throughout the state, under which all the Municipal Corporations, Municipal Councils and Municipal Committees will encourage the people to work on Swachh Haryana, Swachh Bharat and Sampan Bharat. Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal will inaugurate ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ at Panchkula on October 2, 2020, he added.
He said that ‘Swachh Haryana’ mobile app will prove as a certificate of cleanliness in the state as any person can upload photographs of dirty drains, unclean roads and heap of garbage lying in any particular area under the concerned Local Body. Within 3 hours of uploading of photographs on this website, the backup teams of the department will reload the picture after ensuring the cleanliness of that place. Apart from this, the problem of street lighting will have to be resolved within 24 hours, failing which, the contractor will have to pay a fine of Rs 50 per event per day.
He said that a special drive will also be launched for cleaning of drains and safe disposal of waste. For this event, District Municipal Commissioner will be the Nodal Officer at the district level and the Public Health Engineering Department, HSIIDC, Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran and Local Bodies will work together for the success of this campaign.
Mr. Vij said that information of all 88 Urban Local Bodies of the state will be available on the website of the department. He said that instructions have been issued to all Municipal Corporations, Councils and Committees of the state to identify garbage spots and ensure the cleanliness of such spots. He said that during this period special attention would be paid towards beautification of parks and cleanliness of public toilets and making the roads garbage free. He urged all the social institutions to come forward and actively participate in this cleanliness drive.
Additional Chief Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. S. N. Roy, Director General of the Department, Mr. Amit Agarwal, State Informatics Officer (SIO), NIC, Mr. Deepak Bansal and other officers were also present on this occasion.
