It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it

St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh has set the benchmark for conducting extracurricular activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it.

With this perspective in view, an Inter Class English Debate Competition was organized for the students of Class IV of Primary II Block who debated on the topic “Continuous Appreciation Spoils The Child.”

It was indeed a riveting debate with a crisscross of opinions where the speakers spoke with great enthusiasm and gusto. All the participants spoke eloquently and raised poignant points in their arguments impressing the judges and audiences by their acumen and thoughtfulness.

The principal, Ms. Monica Chawla extended her compliments to the winners. She further emphasized that events like this gives students an edge to gain exposure to enhance their communication skills and provide an opportunity to instill confidence among them. The name of the winners who spoke against the topic are Niharika, Mimansa Vasudeva, Riya Goel, Samaira Kaushik and Tisha. The name of the winners who spoke in favour of the topic are Annie Ervine, Vanshika, Keshav Saini, Keeratjot kaur, Hitaishi Jindal, Ananya Rishi and Jasmine Saini.
