JUSTICE JITENDRA CHAUHAN, DISTRIBUTED LICENSES OF PRACTICE TO 258 NEW ADVOCATES OF PUNJAB & HARYANA IN THE LAW BHAWAN

The Convocation of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana held for distribution of Enrolment Certificates to the newly enrolled 399 advocates at Law Bhawan, Chandigarh.
Mr. Justice Jitendra Chauhan Judge Punjab and Haryana High Court graced the occasion as Chief Guest and distributed the enrolment certificates to the newly enrolled advocates of Punjab & Haryana. After administering an oath ceremony to the newly enrolled advocates, licenses to 399 Advocates were distributed.
Justice Jitendra Chauhan delivered his value able speech to the entrants and advised to start their practice and to maintain the dignity of the legal profession and to maintain public faith in the justice delivery system. He further advised the newly enrolled Advocates to adopt the path of hard work and faith of the clients. He further advised the newly enrolled advocates who are intended to start their legal practice at different places of Punjab and Haryana for hard work as the advocates are playing a vital role in the Justice delivery system in India.
Vijender Singh Ahlawat Chairman Bar Council Punjab & Haryana while welcoming the Justice Jitendra Chauhan apprised about the various scheme launched by the Bar Council about welfare schemes announced and implemented by the Bar Council of Punjab & Haryana under the Advocates welfare fund act 2001 and the Haryana Advocates Welfare fund rules 2014. He also advised the new entrant to maintain dignity of the noble legal profession during practice and honestly work for their clients with fully professional dedication. He advised the young lawyers to start the legal profession with patience either dealing with clients and also during the course of pleadings in courts. He also stressed upon the need to fully equipped with the facts of the case to be a successful lawyer.
Today, a Mother and son has also obtained enrolment Certificate together, Perhaps it is ever first time in the history of Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana that mother and son getting licence together as well as the son the Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jitendra Chauhan enrolled today and obtained his license of practice from the hands of Justice Jitendra Chauhan. At this occasion, Rajeev Kaswan, Vice Chairman, Harpreet Singh Brar, Hony Secretary Partap Singh, Chairman Executive Committee, Randhir Singh Badhran and Karanjit Singh, Members Enrollment Committee and other elected members of the Bar Council and other Advocates as well as parents of the newly enrolled advocates from different places of Punjab, Haryana and U.T. Chandigarh were also present.
It is also pertinent to mention here that the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act 1961 and from its inception Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana enrolled more than 98 thousand advocates.
