Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has announced that a massive recruitment drive would soon be carried out in the state under which 7000 police constables, 450 Sub Inspectors and 38,000 Group D employees would be recruited. Similarly, 700 to 800 Gram Sachivs would also be recruited soon.
The Chief Minister made this announcement in a function at Zirakpur. He said that recruitment of 24,000 posts had been carried out and work for the recruitment of 22,000 posts was in pipeline. He said that in the history of Haryana, HPSC had for the first time made a record recruitment of 1900 posts in a year, which was unheard of in any previous regimes. He said that the recruitment was made purely on the basis of merit.
He said that at present, there were about 2200 Gram Sachivs posts. The State Government was considering appointing one Gram Sachiv for every two villages.
He said that Investors’ Summit was organised for generation of large scale employment in the state. He said that a unique scheme namely Saksham Yojana had been initiated, under which graduate and post graduate unemployed youth gets Rs 9000 per month in lieu of 100 hours of work so that they could make themselves capable of other competitions or self employment. So far, under Saksham Yojana, 42,000 youth had been given jobs.
