MCC extends the date of depositing water bills till May 31
The Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh has decided to extend the date of depositing water bills till 31st May 2021.
This was decided in a meeting held today between Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor and K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh.
The Mayor said that due to the COVID-19 lockdown period, the MCC has earlier extended the deposit date of water bills till 17th May but keeping in mind the present situation and ease to the citizens the deadline has been extended till 31st May, 2021.

Offering big relief to the city residents, the Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has extended the deadline from 31st May to 30th June, 2021 for paying the property tax due to the COVID-induced lockdown.
This was decided in a meeting held between Ravi Kant Sharma, Mayor and K.K. Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh.
The Mayor said that as per the practice, the residential property taxpayers will get rebate of 20 percent and commercial property tax payers 10 percent till 30th June, 2021 instead of previous deadline i.e. 31st May, 2021 for depositing the levy for the fiscal 2021-22.
