Prelude to the upcoming event of ST.JOHN’S HIGH SCHOOL

In September 2019, St. John’s High School set a new benchmark in debating when The St John’s All India debate was conducted. This was the vision of Sandeep Goyal, an alumnus of the school who gifted the school Rs 1 crore to serve as a corpus for conducting literary activities.

This year, with the pandemic acting as the driving force, the school decided to take the debate to a new level; not only it’s online but it has also gone international, with schools, from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Australia and South Africa participating

Over three days and five rounds, passionate debating will be witnessed. Very innovative and non conventional debating will take place through role play and pictorial rounds and conventional debate will also happen over UN goals. Ace debaters will also debate on pressing issues facing the world due to divergence of opinions in one of the rounds based on international stances. 

The Chief guest for the inaugural ceremony is Ambassador Manpreet Vohra( Current  Indian ambassador to Mexico), another illustrious alumnus of the school. The teams face tough challenges with eminent personalities on the juries,  like His Excellency Aman Puri (Consul General of India to Dubai and Northern Emirates), Ambassador Nalin Surie, Ambassador Hemant Krishan, Mr Manish Tiwari and Mr Brijendra Sing, Members of Parliament. 

The debate starts on 27th  October and ends on 29th October
