PUNJAB GOVERNOR GREETS PEOPLE ON PARKASH UTSAV OF SRI GURU NANAK DEV JI

The Voice of Chandigarh : The Punjab Governor and Administrator, UT, Chandigarh, Banwari Lal Purohit greeted the people of Punjab and Chandigarh on the eve of Sri Guru Nanak’s birthday saying that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s philosophy seeking Sarbat Da Bhalla (welfare of all) is relevant to the whole world, transcending all boundaries.

“The life of Guru Nanak Dev teaches us love and harmony. He gave us the mantra of ‘EK OMKAR SATNAM’, which means that there is only One God”.

“While emphasizing values of love, peace and compassion, Guru Nanak Dev Ji equated service to humanity with service to God.

“His preachings such as ‘Vand Chako’, sharing with others, ‘Kirat Karo’, making an honest living, and ‘Naam Japo’, remembering God at all times, capture the essence of his message.

Let us resolve to follow the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev and continue to seek inspiration to walk on path of righteousness in the service of humanity, said the Governor.
