Republic Day Celebration at Sacred Heart School

Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School celebrated the 69th Republic day with great patriotic fervor and happiness.  The festivities began with the unfurling of the Tricolour by the Chief Guest , Rt. Rev.Ignatius Mascarenhas, the Bishop of Shimla-Chandigarh Diocese. He was companied by Rev. Sr. Arti Thottathil, the Provincial Superior of St. Clare’s Province, India(CFMSS) , Sr.Lucy , the manager of the school, alongwih Sr. Nisha, the Principal and Sr. Immaculate, the Vice Principal. The NCC contingent and the students of class VIII marched beautifully and in synchronisation to the beats of the drum.


A programme was organized on the special occasion to celebrate the spirit of India. The colourful dances , and the patriotic songs highlighted the golden heritage of our country where fraternity and equality in diversity makes us a unique nation. A play was also staged by the students of the primary wing  that spoke of the importance of upholding the values of our constitution. The school lay the foundation stone for the Sacred Heart Auditorium on this occasion.

The Bishop commended all the students for their great performance and exhorted them to be true patriots.He encouraged the students to be proud to be a part of this great nation and build a better future by empowering themselves.
