St. Patrick’s Day Celebrated

The Ambassador of Ireland to India, His Excellency Mr. Brian McElduff, on 15th March 2018, invited the dignitaries of travel trade, educational institutions, businessmen, Irish Resident in Delhi and the media for the celebration of St. Patrick Day at his residence.
Saint Patrick’s Day, or the Feast of Saint Patrick, is a cultural and religious celebration held on 17 March, the traditional death date of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland.
On this occasion, the Ambassador in his welcome speech, made some major announcements as well, which included the opening of the consulate in Mumbai and tie up with Jawaharlal Nehru University for exchange student programs in various fields of education.
The evening was attended by people, wearing various shades of Green and jewellery resembling a shamrock and lucky clovers. The attendees enjoyed the night with the Irish whiskey, Jameson, which had a separate counter, Guinness – Irish Dry Stout and Baileys Irish Cream.
