Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) in partnership with Thai Airways International and Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) organized an interactive seminar cum networking dinner in Chandigarh at Hotel Taj.


This seminar was organized for the promotion of MICE and Leisure Tourism in Thailand and was attended by the stalwarts DSC01707like Isra Stapanaseth, Director Thailand Tourism Authority(TAT), Sunil Kumar, Sales Manager Thai Airways and Nitin Sachdeva of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. Over 100 stakeholders attended the seminar. It was a knowledge sharing programme for the select gathering from Tour & Travel industry.



A welcome address and presentation on Thailand Connect Seminar were given by Nitin Sachdeva which drew the attention of every one present. He briefed the travel partners about how they could, in fact, connect Thailand for the promotion of tourism and develop their business model in an effective manner.

DSC01737Isra Stapanaseth Director Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New Delhi gave some interesting inputs for the promotion of tourism in Thailand. He apprised travel partners of the variety of options available in Thailand for Leisure tourism.

This was followed by another presentation by Mr. Sunil Kumar Sales Manager Thai Airways. He highlighted the various flights from different parts of India for facilitation of tourists visiting Thailand.


This was followed by the views of the audience and an interesting question answer session. The travel & trade people raised certain issues with regard to their business and the strategy to upscale the same which were answered by the speakers.

The Voice of Chandigarh being the premier media partner was on the forefront when the Travel Trade Reporter team interacted with the main speakers.


The team of The Voice of Chandigarh raised the issue of Visa problems by the tourists DSC01793visiting Thailand regarding the increase in visa fee and other similar issues about visa on arrival.DSC01783Mr. Isra Stapanaseth the Director Tourism Authority (TAT) reiterated that Visa problems of the tourists visiting Thailand will be redressed on the priority basis by taking up the matter with the Government of Thailand.
