The Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon returns in its original format, after a hiatus caused by the global pandemic, and will take place on Friday, February 25, 2022. Tens of thousands of runners are expected to participate in the marathon, one of Israel’s largest sporting events. Last year, participants ran solo under the banner “All Running Together Separately”, with each participant following a local course designed especially for him/her by a dedicated smartphone app.
In February 2020, over 40,000 runners from all over the world, participated in the Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon. Participants enjoyed a stunning 42-kilometre route winding its way through the beating heart of the city – running through Sarona, Rabin Square, Old Jaffa and the white sandy beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.
Participants can choose between a full marathon (42.195 km); a half marathon (21 km), a 10 km race, a 5 km,or a hand-cycle race. The race for all courses will start and end at agate that has been specially created for the race located at Rokach Blvd – between Park HaYarkon and Expo Tel Aviv, the city’s International Convention Centre.
Early-bird registration for the Tel Aviv Samsung Marathon will close on January 20, 2022 though registration for the race will remain open through Saturday, February 19, 2022. The website contains all pertinent information on current entry requirements to Israel for international competitors, as well as the cancellationpolicy.
