The second edition of Travel Wedding Show 2017, organised by DDP Exhibitions and PLG, was held, at Jaipur Marriott Hotel, Rajasthan. The show brought together exclusively picked exhibitors and buyers from the travel and wedding world. Held in a B2B speed-meeting format, the idea was to transact business with the aim of attracting High Net-worth Individuals (HNI) in India.
The two-day show was graced by Chief Guest Rajeev Jain, Director, Rashi Entertainment, and Guest of Honour Hema Hariramani, Director, National Sales India at Marriott International.
Travel Wedding Show, a one-of-its-kind travel trade forum, connects the world’s most exclusive travel providers, dealing in luxury and experiential segments, with elite wedding planners from across the country. This year’s edition saw 35 exhibitors and 35 buyers on both days. The meetings took place in a pre-scheduled, one-on-one format, with more than 2000 of them being conducted over the duration of the event.
Sarika Rawal Bhabhani, General Manager, DDP Exhibitions, said, “I would like to thank all buyers and exhibitors for their overwhelming response. The meetings went smoothly and exhibitors found this tabletop B2B format really useful in growing their businesses further. Their feedback also included appreciation for the quality of buyers we brought in. Looking at the response of buyers and exhibitors, I am sure we will be able to take this show to greater heights in our upcoming editions.”
Hema Hariramani said, “I think it has been wonderful. We had a great turnout of wedding planners and I would say it was not only quantity but also absolute quality that the show brought together.”
Hemant Mediratta, Senior Vice President – Sales, The Oberoi Group, said, “It is a very nice tabletop format that works really well for us. The show is cost-effective and there is a return on investment. It was beautiful and very well co-ordinated, with a good set of buyers to deal with. It completely works for us.”
