UN Grants Special Consultative Status to Patiala Foundation

In a major recognition, Patiala Foundation, Patiala, PUNJAB, INDIA has been accorded Special Consultative Status by the United Nations. Consultative Status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council is the highest status granted by the United Nations to non-governmental organizations, thereby allowing them to participate in the work of the United Nations. The Special Consultative Status confers a host of privileges and facilities on an NGO, which are similar to those conferred to a member country by the UN.
The United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN-ECOSOC) granted the prestigious recognition to Patiala Foundation after concurrence by representatives of all the member countries. So far, 3974 NGOs across the globe have got this recognition, this year Patiala Foundation was added to the list. It is an NGO from Punjab,India to get Special Consultative Status from the UN. The UN Headquarters informed the decision to the Patiala Foundation authorities on July 27,2018.
