VIZAG to be one of the top Five Cities as the Best Tourism Hub of Andhra Pradesh-Shri N. Chandra Babu Naidu, Chief Minister
The 8th Annual Convention of ADTOI was inaugurated by Shri N. Chandra Babu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. During his powerful inaugural address the Chief Minister emphasised that VIZAG will be developed as one of the most potential tourism hubs among the top five cities of the state. He said, “My priority is to bring Visakhapatnam, the third cleanest city of India on the tourism map of the country”. He further highlighted that VIZAG is the only city in the country which has 1000 Kms Sea on one side and the hills on the other side. Therefore the tourism potential in this area is to be explored in a big way.
The Tourism Minister of Andhra Pradesh Bhuma Akhila, shared her views that in order to promote the tourism in the state, the Government has already chalked out the programme for holding various festival sat periodic intervals. This will help increase in the tourist flow in the state.
Rajat Sawhney , the Chairman of the Convention and the Vice President of ADTOI, highlighted about the theme of the convention Explore India , many words. Being one of the third cleanest cities in the country the ADTOI has chosen Visakhapatnam as the destination for this year convention. The area has a unique ambience with safest beaches and the beautiful environment.
The President of ADTOI, P.P. Khanna expressed his views in the most pragmatic way by bringing the challenges faced by the tour operators in the entire country due to GST on hoteliers to the notice of Chief Minister and the Chief Guest. Therefore he emphasised that prompt action is required to be taken so as to promote tourism.
VIZAG by all means is one of the best destinations selected by ADTOI for increasing the tourist inflow. If we are able to develop the best infrastructure in the service sector of tourism industry we can promote domestic tourism in a big way said Mr Khanna. The number and frequency of flights to this destination are to be increase so that tourists can save time and enjoy better. Chetan Gupta the secretary welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries present on the dais.
The Chief Minister later on unveiled the Annual Convention Booklet at the end of the programme.
The ADTOI team was facilitated by presenting the souvenir by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
