World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7th April. In 1948, the World Health Organization organized the first world health assembly. The objective of World Health Day is to spread awareness around the globe on specific issues relating to Health. “Health is one of the critical factors for everybody.”Without health, we won’t be able to achieve or accomplish our goals in life. However, it is vital for us to correct the knowledge of people around the world and make them aware of different health issues. These days, people are mostly attracted towards junk food, alcohol, smoking and indoor activities, rather than healthy food and outdoor activities. So, we must take care of the health for a better and healthy future. The beginning of a healthy lifestyle starts by opting for healthy diet along with healthy living habits like eating nutritious food, practicing hygienic habits, walking and exercising regularly, maintaining good emotional and mental health along with adequate sleep.
In the current era there is an increase in diseases and illnesses around the world, Boosting immunity is the need of the hour. This is the time when we are supposed to protect ourselves from virus, from the very beginning, within our body by strengthening the immune system. With the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s important to understand that no supplement, diet, or other lifestyle modification will cure or prevent disease. Feeding your body with certain foods may help keep your immune system strong like citrus fruits, green vegetables, fresh juices, yogurt, almonds, turmeric, green tea etc,. Your first line of defence is to choose a healthy lifestyle. Following general good-health guidelines is the single best step you can take to make your immune system strong.
As the theme for 2021 is “Building a fairer, healthier world”, it is said that good health provides better capabilities to work as per the requirements of the growing world and hence is very important. Practising yoga and meditation also plays an important role in leading a healthy lifestyle.
