An emergency meeting of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17 held

An emergency meeting of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17 was held in the leadership of Kamaljit Singh Panchhi, President of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17, members discussed the safety of visitors & their shops due to expected rush in Sector 17 market during Dussehra, Karwa Chauth & Diwali Festivals.

Mr Kamaljit Singh Panchhi urged the Hon’ble Administrator for installation of A FIRE TENDER AND AMBULANCE SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY STALLED NEAR POLICE CHOWKI PLAZA SECTOR 17 to tackle any fire incident during these days. As the parkings are full during these days and in case of any such delicate situation, this will help in preventing any difficulty faced by the fire fighting vehicles to reach the destination.

Mr Panchhi said that all the shopkeepers are already suffering from huge losses because of the Covid-19 Pandemic. They are not in a position to face any further losses as everyone is struggling to meet expenses and any further incident will prove to be a backbreaker of the business community.

LC Arora Gen.Secy & Members of Association again requested to the Hon’ble Administrator take it on priority in the interest of traders they are not able to bear the loss to this extent and it could be worse than Corona itself if any unfortunate fire incident happens.
