Action against Gambling

          Chandigarh Police arrested Dev Raj R/o # 5, Old Power House, Sector-26, Chandigarh (Age-29 Years) and Ganga Ram R/o # 35, Village- Sammanpur, Ambedkar Nagar, UP (Age-34 Years) while gambling near Nikku Dhaba, Timber Market, Sector-26, Chandigarh on 21.02.2022. Total cash Rs. 1290/- was recovered from their possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 31, U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in PS-26, Chandigarh. Later they were released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

MV Theft

          Gurmukh Singh R/o # 759/5, Mohalla Thakur, Manimajra, Chandigarh reported that unknown person stole away complainant’s Activa Scooter No. CH-01AE-2143 parked near Shivalik Garden, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 07.10.2021. A case FIR No. 32, U/S 379 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Accident

A case FIR No. 33, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh on the complaint of Shivam Tiwari R/o # 424, Manav Colony, Saketri, Panchkula (HR) who reported that driver of car No. PB-01C-5120 namely Salman Khan R/o # 72, Village Saneta, Distt. Mohali (PB) hit the complainant’s M/Cycle No. CH-01BY-1368 at small chowk near under bridge, MHC, Manimajra, Chandigarh on 21.02.2022. Complainant sustained injuries and was admitted in Civil Hospital, Manimajra and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged person was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 30, U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS-Manimajra, Chandigarh against Pankaj Sharma R/o # 1119/6, Saini Complex, Govindpura, Mani Majra, Chandigarh the driver of M/Cycle No. T0122HP3772A who rashly and negligently driven his vehicle due to which the motorcycle skid near Manav Dairy, Samadhi Gate, MM, Chandigarh on 22.02.2022. Pillion rider namely Sandeep R/o # 804, NIC, MM, Chandigarh sustained injuries and was admitted in Civil Hospital, Manimajra and later referred to PGI, Chandigarh. Alleged person was arrested and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Theft

A lady resident of R/o Sector-40/C, Chandigarh alleged that a lady resident of small flats, Maloya, Chandigarh who came for massage had stole away two gold kada, one gold bangle, two gold rings, one chain, one pendent, two ear buds, one pair tops from Almirah of her house between 17.02.2022 to 22.02.2022. A case FIR No. 26, U/S 380 IPC has been registered in PS-39, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Cheating

A case FIR No. 20, U/S 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-11, Chandigarh on the complaint of Divesh Aggarwal, Manager, ICICI Bank, SCO No. 2, Sector-15C, Chandigarh against Mohit Arora R/o # 73, Sector-108, Mohali (PB) and Gursev Singh R/o G-3 Motors, Plot No. 4, Ind. Area, Ph-1, Panchkula (HR), wherein alleged that the borrower Mohit Arora and others O/o PMD Petro India, PMD petrocem India private Limited had availed the construction equipment loans of total Rs. 80,00,000/- from ICICI Bank for purchase of Hydraulic Excavator. Alleged person submitted a fake/forged invoice copy of the equipment. But the manufacturer Escorts limited confirmed to the bank that the Hydraulic Excavator was not sold by them and also that their company does not deal in Hydraulic Breaker. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 39, U/S 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-17, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-42, Chandigarh who alleged that Vijay Joshi and Vinod Joshi directors of Vikson Securities Pvt. Ltd. and Sanctus Global Formulations Ltd., SCO No. 56-57, 4th floor, Sector-17/D, Chandigarh and others cheated Rs. 50,00,000/- from complainant for investment in their companies i.e. Vikson Securities Pvt. Ltd. and Sanctus Global Formulations Ltd. They assured the complainant that their company is registered with SEBI and she will get a return of double the amount in 3 years but the alleged person neither paid the profit nor returned the original amount to the complainant. Investigation of the case is in progress.

 A case FIR No. 20, U/S 420, 406, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rajiv Jindal R/o # 3141, Sector-20/D, Chandigarh alleged that Vishal Tekriwal and Vivek Tekriwal both R/o # DN-51, Marline Infinite, 9th floor, Sec-5, Salt Lake bypass, Bidhan Nagar, Kolkata, West Bengal represented them as running flourishing business to complainant and assured to double the investment within a period of 12 months. Complainant invested Rs. 50,00,000/- on 20.10.2016. But after sometime they failed to return the original amount to the complainant. Investigation of the case is in progress.

A case FIR No. 33, U/S 406, 420, 120-B IPC has been registered in PS-34, Chandigarh on the complaint of a lady resident of Sector-45/C Chandigarh alleged that Vinod Joshi, Hari Ram Joshi and others of M/s. Him Agro Food Corporation, SCO No. 118-119-120, Sector 34, Chandigarh represented them as running business of Fruit & Vegetables commodities. They allured the complainant to invest in apple commodities where they used to store the apple and other vegetables for earning huge profits.  Complainant invested with them between 2014 to 2017 but later the alleged person neither paid the profit nor returned the original amount of the complainant. Investigation of the case is in progress.
