The decision to give the approval to organize programmes in University premises is in the VC’s jurisdiction: Chief Minister

Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal has said that taking a decision regarding giving permission to allow any institution to organize programmes inside University premises is in the purview of the Vice-Chancellor. 

The Chief Minister said this while replying to a question during the monsoon session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha regarding organizing the INSO programme at Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

He said that the University had given permission to INTUC to conduct the programme on October 17, 2017, by charging the prescribed fee. Besides this, NSUI was allowed to conduct the programme in the same year. He said that the University can allow any institution to conduct the programme under its prescribed rules by charging the prescribed fee.

Haryana Govt committed to provide employment through transparency: Kanwar Pal

Haryana Education Minister, Kanwar Pal said that the State Government is committed to provide employment through transparency in the recruitment system of the state. He said this while responding to a question during the monsoon session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

He said that since the formation of the State Government in the year 2019, a total of 12,016 posts for Group A, B, C were recruited by the government through Haryana Staff Selection Commission and Haryana Public Service Commission.

The Education Minister said that during this period, 10,576 posts were recruited by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission and 1,440 by the Haryana Public Service Commission.

He also presented comparative figures of employment given by the government through the Haryana Staff Selection Commission and Haryana Public Service Commission. He said that during the years 2005 to 2009, 18,020 jobs were provided by Haryana Staff Selection Commission and 988 by Haryana Public Service Commission.

He informed that during the year 2014 to 2019, recruitments were made against 66,427 posts by Haryana Staff Selection Commission while recruitments were made against 3,446 posts by Haryana Public Service Commission.

During the ongoing Monsoon Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, obituary resolutions were passed to pay rich tributes to former Governor Rajasthan, Kalyan Singh and martyr Sepoy Mohammad Azharuddin. The House conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.

Leader of the House, Chief Minister, Manohar Lal firstly read out the obituary resolutions, later Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Gian Chand Gupta read out the obituary resolutions and paid tributes to the departed souls. Leader of the Opposition, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda also read out the obituary resolutions on behalf of his party.

While reading the obituary resolution, Chief Minister said that the House expresses deep condolences on the sad demise of former Governor of Rajasthan, Kalyan Singh on August 21, 2021. He was a strong supporter of constitutional values and ideals. The Nation will always remember him with a sense of gratitude for his distinguished services. He left an indelible mark in his long and successful life as a diplomat and statesman.

The House also expressed deep condolences on the sad and untimely demise of Sepoy Mohammad Azharuddin of Nai Nangla village of district Nuh on August 20, 2021.

The House conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families. The House also observed silence to pay homage to the departed souls.

The work of repairing Water Works in Hisar underway

Administrative approval was given for an estimated amount of Rs. 594 lakh

An estimate amounting to Rs. 593.95 lakh has been given administrative approval on September 4, 2020, for special repair, renovation and de-silting of waterworks in Mahabir Colony, Hisar Town and the work is under progress.

This information was given by the Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr Banwari Lal in response to a question during the Monsoon Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha today.

Another estimate amounting to Rs. 713.05 lakh has also been administratively approved on June 30, 2021, for special repair /augmentation of 2nd waterworks Kaimri Road, Hisar. For this work, the tender is to be opened on August 25, 2021.
